Ok, about finn.
He...
- found out that naps are boring, no matter how tired you are.
- pulls himself on his feet using the sofa, my legs, swing chairs (ouch).
- has six teeth now. The upper centre ones make him look a bit like our Prime Minister (hence the nickname 'Verhofstadtje' I gave him; don't tell annelies)
- is trying to say elliott's name 'eeeeell.....ooooo' while mommy and daddy are still plain old 'tada'. Apparently, he has his priorities straight.
- has developed a unique crawling technique (by putting his legs in a 90-degree angle in front of him for staibility and sliding on his behind). Top speed in our tiled living room: 8 knots. Top speed in a room with wall-to-wall carpet: 6 knots.
- still likes to chew bread (or anything that enters a 50-cm radius around his chair). Gets angry when we're having dinner and don't offer him to join in.
- still wakes up at least once every night to eat.
May - June 2006
He...
- is trying to stand up but can't even crawl yet
- is teething (no 3 and 4 just popped up)
- can sit up straight without tumbling over every time he moves now
- can also say tata, papa, dada
- likes to chew bread (or anything that enters a 50-cm radius around his chair)
November 2005 - April 2006
He...
- doesn't see the bliss in the biorhythm of grown-ups (i.e. at six months he's still taking a bottle at 11.30 pm and 3.30 am and then nothing until noon)
- is one of the most good-natured babies I've ever seen.
- had his first tooth at 6 months (last week), the second one is on its way
- likes to observe us from a distance
- adores his big brother, except when he wants to take a little nap in the living room and elliott is making a racket.
NB: I'm a bad bad father for not updating this page.
October-November 05
He...
- is a baby, so the first weeks he slept, cried, ate, in random order.
- used to have heavy cramps, so annelies can't eat anything that contains dairy products. It's pretty hard for her because she's a vegetarian.
- started to laugh at 6 weeks.
- is less active than elliott was at his age.
- prefers annelies to anyone/anything in the world, she's his idol.
